This was the best part. The other best part was listening to my wife gagging. I thought she was gonna lose her cookies on this one lol.

I would say something like this. What does that say about me?

So excited to finally start watching this again. I can’t love this show enough. And on top of that I have Boardwalk Empire to watch, which is an equally great show. And it’s on at the same…. time… shit. I sense a life changing decision coming up.
Just kidding, I have DVR. Silly goose.

I’m looking forward to the new season of The Walking Dead. The first one was amazing. Even at 6 episodes I was hooked so this one ought to be amazing.

Unpolished Flash Writing - Zombie Warehouse (repost from old Eekles)

A quick flash writing I came up with recently. It’s a rough draft so excuse the grammar mistakes and just read it

Zombie Warehouse

I ran through the warehouse between the stack of crates. I’m pretty sure I could hear them behind me but I didn’t want to look. I just kept going. The factory seemed like a pretty decent idea but there were just too many doors to bar. They ended up coming in while we tried to close all the doors. Poor Patrick. I hope they did a number on him, I don’t want to have to see him later.

I was about to reach the corner of the stacks when it came around the corner. I came to a sliding stop and there was a slight moment where we made eye contact. I thought for a second that I saw a glimpse of humanity behind that rotting face but he opened his mouth in gurgled groan as blood ran out of his mouth. As I turned the other way I heard the sound of something wet hit the concrete.

Okay bad idea, but I still have to give this factory a try, there are plenty of places to go. Including up. So I started climbing. These crates gave me plenty of places to get a foothold. Easy climb. The problem was what to do when I got to the top. I looked where I ran from and saw about 10 of them shambling down the aisle after me. They might be slow but they are relentless. The drooling one reached for my feet in a pathetic attempt to grab my leg. He looked a bit aggravated to find nothing but thin air slip through his hungry fingers.

It didn’t take much to get to the top. I could see most of the warehouse from here. It was pretty large and held a lot of rows of crates and boxes. Plenty of ways to get around up here. Just a short hop could take me over the zombies below and onto the next row. I had to be careful though. A fall could easily injure me from this height and the way this place is filling up it wouldn’t matter anyways. Their food would fall from the sky right into their clutches.

Don’t mean to disappoint but I don’t plan on going out that way guys. I could see a few doors around but they were closed. No guarantee of escape there. 2 big dock doors were on the other side of the warehouse but one was closed and the other was letting this flood of undead flesh in. What to do, what to do.…

Then I saw it. A forklift was sitting a few rows down and there wasn’t anything around it. That could at least clear me a path till I got outside. I’m not sure how it will hold up running a bunch of dead people down but I had to give it a try. The dock door wasn’t far from it, I could just gun it and ram my way out of here. Hopefully.

I waited for a few for the mob below me to gather a little closer. The further away from the forklift they are the better. It was starting to reek in here too. Something about the smell of rotting flesh just turns my stomach. Their screams and moans are echoing off the walls and a quick glance behind me shows me that they are starting to climb too. Shit.

It’s now or never I suppose. I leap across the gap onto the next row of crates. I easily land on the top and continue to the other side preparing for my next jump. This one is going to be tricky. The next row is a bit taller than this one. So I’m going to have to jump and somehow catch my self on the side of that crate.

I look behind me and see a zombie crawl up the top of the last row I was on. It looks at me and starts shuffling towards me. He then steps right off the edge and falls down on top of the gathering crowd below. The groaning ambiance rises a bit as they try to collect themselves from the falling zombie.

Back to the crates. I look carefully and pick my spots where I’m going to catch myself with my feet and hands. I take a deep breath and make the leap. I hit the side of the crate and my foot slips out of where I was aiming for. I started to fall but was lucky enough to get a good grip with my hands. I can feel my heart beating faster as I find my footing. That was close.

The climb to the top was easy enough. And the forklift was only another row away, this one lower than the one I was on. I collect myself for a second and then make the leap onto the other row. There it is, the forklift, and hopefully my savior.

To Be Continued… maybe….

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Debut Trailer

Yes, zombies are played out in video games. However, zombies in the wild west is new territory that I can’t wait to explore. It’s one thing to take on zombies with automatic weapons, but when your only weapons are vintage pistols and shotguns. Now that’s real terror. Red Dead Redemption is an amazing game and this DLC will certainly get me back into playing that game again.

Looks frickin awesome!
